Prof. (Dr.). Jayaraju Madhavan is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate with First Rank from University of Kerala, Thiruvanathapuram, in the year 1985.  He won the gold medal for his project for M.E from IISc, Banagalore, in the year 1994.  He also acquired his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Kerala in the year 2005. He joined as Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam on 1987  and served as Lecturer (Senior Grade), Lecturer (Selection Grade), Associate Professor and Professor. His Ph.D Thesis was “Performance of High Voltage Insulation systems with Non- Standard Switching Surges” done at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He Continuing the research as an approved research supervisor under the faculty of Engineering & Technology in the University of Kerala, APJ Abdulkalam Technological University, Kerala, University of Petroleum & Energy studies, Dehradun and Hindustan University, Chennai. Now, Research works of eleven scholars are progressing. He has more than 35 years in Engineering Education and Research area. In addition to the academic experience, Prof. (Dr.). Jayaraju Madhavan acquired administrative experience by serving as Director, ANERT, Department of Power, Government of Kerala and as  Principal, MES Engineering College, Kollam. On 4 October 2018 Prof. (Dr.). Jayaraju Madhavan joined as Principal, College of Engineering Munnar.

Prof. (Dr.). Jayaraju Madhavan was the Member- Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Kerala, Member Board of Studies, Engineering & Technology, University of Kerala, and Member Board of Studies, Engineering & Technology, Calicut University. He has memberships in Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA, Fellow, Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow, Institution of Technical Arbitrator, Fellow, Institution of Valuers, etc. He authored three text books.
