Dr. P. Anitha Dhamayanthy

Joined  as Director, Centre for Continuing Education Kerala on February 2018, after serving as Principal, Government College, Attingal.

Dr Anitha Dhamayanthy began her career as a Lecturer, in the Department of English, Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, on 5th October, 1988. She has worked in Govt. Victoria College, Palakad, Govt. College , Attingal, , Govt. Polytechnic, Kalamaserry, Ernakulam and Govt Polytechnic, Attingal. She has served as Associate Professor of English, for a long term in Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, from 2005  and was the Head of the Department of English , for one year before she was promoted as Principal.

Dr Anitha Dhamayanthy has undertaken many responsibilities like Coordinator of the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, Coordinator of Women’s Studies Cell, Faculty for English for the Women Skill Enhancement Programme of the Kerala State IT Mission, Resource Person for training for Competitive Examinations and Member of the Monitoring Committee of ASAP programme. She was also a member of the Board of Studies (PG) from 2011 to 2014 and was actively involved in the revision of the PG syllabus. She has also played an key role in the designing of the syllabus of the B A Honors ( English ) course, a prestigious  course started by the Government of Kerala  in Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. She is also at present a member of the Pass Board.

Dr. Anitha has also been in the panel of the Kerala Public Services Commission, and has played an active role in the design of the syllabus for the examination conducted by the PSC for the post of Lecturers in Collegiate Education Department and HSA examination for selection of teachers for Higher Secondary Course.
