Director

Prof (Dr.) M. V. Rajesh is the Director of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), Government of Kerala. A distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of experience in higher technical education, he has made significant contributions to engineering education, research, innovation, academic administration, and institutional development.

He holds a Ph.D. in Intelligent Signal Processing from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), an M.Tech. in Electrical Instrumentation and Control Systems from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut, and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from the Government Model Engineering College, Kochi.

Before assuming the office of Director, Dr. Rajesh served in several key academic and administrative positions, including Principal, Professor, Associate Professor, Head of Department, and Lecturer in leading engineering institutions under IHRD. His leadership has been instrumental in promoting academic excellence, research, innovation, industry collaboration, digital transformation, and quality enhancement across higher education institutions.

Dr. Rajesh has held leadership roles in prestigious professional organizations such as IEEE, IETE, and the Computer Society of India (CSI). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Science Technology and Innovation (IJSTI), Convener of the IHRD Global Alumni Meet (IHRD-GAM), and has served on several national academic, accreditation, and expert committees.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Rajesh has authored more than 35 research papers in reputed international journals and IEEE conferences. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communication, and Emerging Technologies. His academic contributions continue to advance research, innovation, and technology-driven education in India.

As Director of IHRD, Dr. Rajesh is committed to transforming the institution into a globally recognized centre of excellence in technical education, skill development, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration. Under his leadership, IHRD continues to strengthen its role in developing future-ready professionals through quality education, digital transformation, and technology-enabled learning aligned with the vision of the Government of Kerala.
