IEEE International Summit – ISMCS 2025

IEEE MTT-S Chapter Inaugurated at College of Engineering Munnar

The International Summit on Microwave and Communication Systems (ISMCS 2025) was held in Munnar on 20th December 2025 to discuss innovative research possibilities and technical advancements in the fields of microwave and wireless communication. The event was organized by the IEEE Student Branch, College of Engineering Munnar, with the support of the IEEE Kerala Section and IEEE MTT-S.
​As part of the summit, the official inauguration of the Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) Chapter of the IEEE Student Branch at the College of Engineering Munnar took place on 20th December 2025. This chapter aims to open new possibilities in the academic and research sectors, providing significant opportunities for students, faculties, and researchers.
​Prominent academic experts and researchers from India and abroad participated in the summit. During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Jeoju M. Issac (Principal, College of Engineering Munnar) delivered the welcome address. Prof. Chinmoy Saha (IEEE R10 Regional Coordinator) presided over the inaugural meeting. Dan V. Prabha (Chairman, IEEE Student Branch) proposed the vote of thanks.

​Organizers Prof. Indhu K.K. and Prof. Shahimol Basheer (Assistant Professors, College of Engineering Munnar), Dr. Arun Shaji (Secretary, IEEE MTT-S Kerala Section), and Sabio Paulson (Chairman, MTT-S Student Branch) stated that the conference was structured to benefit students, faculties, and industry experts alike. Authorities further emphasized that hosting this international summit in Munnar brings new recognition to the college’s academic achievements.
