College of Engineering Munnar is a premier institution of higher education established by the Government of Kerala in the year 2000 under Centre for Continuing Education Kerala (CCEK). Since 2026, the institution has been functioning under the management of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD). The college was initially affiliated with Cochin University of Science and Technology and has been affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University from 2015 onwards. The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Government of Kerala, serves as the Chairman of the Governing Body and the Chief Secretary to the Government of Kerala serves as the Vice-Chairman.
