Governing body meetings will be convened once in a year.

Organizational Chart
Nature and extend of involvement of faculty and students and Mechanism for Good Governance
Apart
from the academic advisory board meetings, the Principal used to
convene periodic meetings with the faculty members to discuss the
academic progresses, level of teaching and other academic/non academic
matters. The HOD’s also convene frequent Departmental Meetings and the
report will be submitted to the Principal. The Class tutors will be
spending an hour each per week in their respective classes to gather
the feed back and suggestions.
Student Feed back on Governance / Faculty performance
The
Principal used to visit every class during each semester and used to
collect the staff evaluation vide the evaluation form designed as per
AICTE norms.
Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff members and students
All
the faculty members here possess the entire freedom to meet the
Principal any time they wish to address their grievances if any. Any
grievances possessed by the students must be addressed to the tutor
first which will be forwarded to the concerned HOD for effective
redressal . The problems which are not solved yet will be put forth
before the Principal.

Government of Kerala
CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGE FOR ADMISSION
The
basic criteria to get admission to B.Tech courses at College of
Engineering Munnar (Merit/Management) is that the student has to pass
the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Govt of Kerala. A student who
has cleared the Entrance have to score a minimum of 50%marks in
Physics, Chemistry &Mathematics at their plus two level and a
separate minimum of 50%marks for Mathematics.. If the student satisfies
all the above mentioned conditions, then the candidate will be granted
admission on the basis of hierarchy of the CEE rank.
The
candidates belonging to SC/ST category need secure only pass marks in
the Qualifying examination along with a pass in CEE. A relaxation of
5%marks is allowed for the students belonging to OBC/SEBC category.

ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT/NRI SEATS AND VACCANCY
On
receiving the applications for admission under NRI quota, a committee
comprising of Principal, HOD’s of all Departments and the
Administrative Officer used to scrutinize the same and a list is
released according to the merit. The candidates are informed about
their respective position in the list and a date is announced so that
the student could report and could confirm his/her admission by
remitting the prescribed Fee. If a student is not turning up within the
stipulated time, then the candidates in the waiting list will be
informed accordingly.

The central library offers the students an excellent variety of text

journals, Indian as well as International are also available. The
Library which is computerized is opened from 08.00am to 5.00pm on all

Adventure Sports and Indoor Games
A
unit of Adventure club promoted by District Tourism promotion Council
provides rigorous Training programmes for interested students in
adventure sports like Para Gliding, Parachuting, Rock Climbing River
Crossing etc. Facilities for High class indoor games such as Billiards,
Lawn Tennis, Table tennis etc are arranged at the Kannan Devan Hills
Indoor Stadium near to the Campus. The students are also benefited with
the Tata Tea sports ground and the High altitude stadium near by.
Coffee shop and Amenity Centre
The
Coffee shop functioning in the campus provides a Delicious menu of
continental/Indian dishes to the students at a reduced rate. An amenity
centre attached to the Coffee shop avails the students with stationary,
Text books and necessities to meet their day –to- day life.
Extra Curriculum Activities
In order to sharpen the skills, students of each Department have formed
their own departmental clubs. The activities include assistance with
orientation for new students, arranging and involving in Technical
/Social events on weekly/ Monthly and annual basis including the annual
ball.
Apart
from these, there is a much effective Music Club and Sports Club with
the latest and most modern Instruments and sports Kits to flourish the
skills of interested students.
Training and Placement Cell
The
Training and Placement Cell functioning in the Institution keeps
abreast itself and updated with the latest International and National
Events, Industry directions and the changing market place.The Cell
offers intensive training programs in career guidance which leads to
development and enhancement of personality of each CEM product. Apart
from these, the cell organizes project assignments, seminars by expert

EXAMINATION
The
Semester Examinations are conducted as per the schedule fixed by Cochin
University of Science and Technology. An Examination Committee is
constituted for the smooth and effective conduct of University as well
as the Series tests. Principal College of Engg Munnar is designated as
the Chief Examination Superintendent and the rest of members comprises
of Additional Chief Superintendent and Asst Superintendents. 12 numbers
of class rooms with seating capacity of 40 students each and 1 drawing
hall of seating capacity 60 are utilized for the conduct of
Examinations.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
The Internal assessment is done on the basis of attendance, assignments and series tests. The marks awarded for each item is
